And he rolls

So yesterday Colin, Conor and I were playing. Well actually I was watching Conor try and try and try to roll over. Colin decided and that time he was bored and he would strip down and give the potty a shot. Out of the corner of my eye I see my 2 year old messing around in the bathroom naked with TP. I immediately put down the camera to tend to my naked child. He decided he wanted to go potty. I put him up on the toilet and to my surprise he peed, yep he actually peed not once but three times. We were clapping and celebrating while Conor was yelling and crying in the room probably because we left him out. WE finished our celebrating and went to check on the baby and low and behold he was on his tummy, I had left him on his back the little stinker rolled while I was celebrating his brothers peeing adventure. Now I know this may seem like no big deal but this could lead to no diapers......and no more leaving the baby unattended on surfaces he could roll off of. :( Conor has gone on to show off his rolling skills and yes I did catch it on camera (on the shutterfly page), and no there have been no further potty attempts at this time, but there is always tomorrow.

It is funny to be how unimportant your own birthday becomes once you have children. I celebrated my 29th birthday yesterday, and just like any other day it was just another day. We did take the kids over to a friends house so we could have some quality time running errands. Yes you heard me right quality time running errands, like going to home depot and then home to hang the blinds we just bought. We did enjoy a nice lunch just the 2 of us. Other than that it was back to the hustle and bustle with the kiddos. Colin is so entertaining it is just like everyday he becomes more and more a little boy and less of a baby. He is now talking in full sentences and you can understand him. It is amazing, I sent him for a diaper for Conor so he brings me the diaper and then tells me to "hold on one minute mom, I will be right back with wipes," Chris and I just look at each other and laugh. I did post more pictures on shutterfly so just click on Colin and he will take you there.
Love you all!

Well another week has come and gone and we are in the full swing of work and play. I have decided that this site is not so friendly for adding pictures so please just click on Colin and the trike and it will take you to my shutterfly page where there are a ton more pictures of the boys. I am tired and can't think right now so I will update this later. Love ya all. Court

Conor's Last Stand

It is so unbelievable how quickly time flies. It just seems like last week I was dreading going back to work and morning Brittany's approaching departure. Well both have come and gone I have been back to work for three weeks and Aunt BB is clear across the world.
Through being back at work we are getting to see how stubborn Conor is. His first day of day care and being home alone with dad he refused to eat. Yep not a drop went 14+ hours without any food. He was exhausted when I got home and was happy to see the boob.
The next day he decided it wasn't worth it and was back to eating and being a happy baby. I work in 2 day stretches with 2-3 days off in-between, always on the first day he tries to make a point and only eat enough to survive. Poor baby. Other than that the boys are doing well in daycare and Colin has finally gotten to the point that he no longer cries. YEAH!!!! Maybe soon I will be able to put him in the nursery at church without a major melt down with gagging involved.???
Speaking of Colin he is still wondering around the house occasionally looking for Aunt BB. Or refuses to get out of the car because he wants to go wake up Aunt BB. Luckily about once a week we get to talk to Aunt BB on the "puter." Last time we chatted Colin was trying to convince Aunt BB to go upstairs with him and ride his bike. He was disappointed that she was not able to oblige his request. WE miss you more and more everyday Aunt BB.
Life is fun with new adventures around every corner. Colin is talking more and more just proving the point he is Chris' clone. The two of them never shut up. Poor Conor only coos when Colin is sleeping otherwise he just watches and listens to his brother in amazement.
They are both amazing children and God definitely blessed us with them.

Another week just flew by and I return to work on Tuesday. So sad. We just celebrated Colin's 2nd birthday, and with that I believe we are entering the terrible 2s. Colin may not look like his mommy but I believe I see a lot of my temperament in him. As my mother always said about me " there once was a girl with a curl and when she was good she was really good but when she was bad she was HORRIBLE!!" We are seeing more frequent melt downs lots of crying and screaming. Then the next minute he is the sweetest thing ever with kisses and hugs for everyone. It definitly makes life more interesting. People are beginning to say t hat Conor has more of my features, finally a child that looks like me! He is so mellow and easy going and the chubs loves to sleep. It is so great!! We are enjoying the boys and all of the challenges they bring.
For Colin's birthday Chris and I took him to the butterfly pavilion, just the three of us. Conor stayed with some friends, so Colin could have mommy and daddy time.
when we returned home we quickly whipped up a cake and some chili and then had some friends over to help him celebrate. Colin's favorite big kid William gave him a trike for his birthday. He is slowly figuring it out and riding it all over the house. He keeps saying sit down mommy ride the bike. Unfortunately I am too big to sit it on it but I try.

Hello all,
we hope that this new year finds you all well. Ours is getting off to a quick start, the holidays rushed in and then out. Now it is time for Courtney to return back to work. It is hard to believe that 12 weeks have gone by since Conor was born and 2 years since Colin. Wow we are parents to a toddler and infant. Life goes by so fast. Colin is getting bigger everyday and his vocabulary is constantly expanding, he is a little parrot so we now have to censor everything we say. He is such a great big brother, always trying to help. If left alone with Conor for 2 seconds he has him undressed and is trying to change his diaper. Such a good little helper!!!
Conor smiles and giggles at his big brother, this is the beginning of a life long friendship.
We will keep you all posted as the boys grow!
Love Chris and Courtney
